2012 FLHTK cruise control problem
I have a 2012 ultra limited that I am having cruise control issues. It will just shut off while going down the road AND even worse it will accelerate on its own!! The dealership says they can't make it happen so there is nothing they can do. Typical! Does anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks.

Sounds like a short/pinched wire. I can see where it might not be repeatable for the dealer because it only happens to you infrequently. The problem the dealer has is they don't have a way to get paid to troubleshoot if they don't find anything if they're trying to do it as a warranty item. There are a lot of things to check and they could put several hours in and not find anything. You'd think they'd replace the switch as a start, though.

It appears you need to find a better dealer or arm yourself with service manuals (mechanical and electrical).

Mine cut out on Cruise and the dealer had to search too - found it on the check ride after engine work. It was the brake switch, but I didn't have the random acceleration.

Thanks for all the suggestion. Have it back at the shop. Going to the Key's for a week, so i told them to ride it till it shows up. Warranty over in March so I hope they find it before then.
