Default Different Diameter Rotors

I'm not a mechanic by any stretch, so here's a dumb question. Thinking about new wheels for my Limited Ultra. I have nice stretched bags & a fender cover, and thought I should do something with the front also. Thinking about a new front fender too. If I get new wheels, I need to be able to show them off, right? That front rotor looks pretty big --- too big to show off those wheels. The stock rotor looks to be about a 10" diameter. Are there smaller ones out there, to be able to see more of the wheel than I can now? Harley parts catalog doesn't give diameters.

The rotor will be the same unless you somehow change the caliper mounting points on the forks...If you want to see more wheel, get a bigger one...You can always go to a single sided set up...

What year and model is your bike? 2000-2007 come with 11.5" diameter rotors. 2008 and newer come with 11.8" diameter rotors. You can switch the front to a single disc setup if you like for looks.

You have 11.8 rotors. So if you want to replace what yo have and use the same calipers get 11.8" rotors.

Thanks, but actually, I was wondering if there were smaller diameters than that, available, so the wheels could be shown off more. Sounds like the answer is no. Maybe have to reconsider new wheels. I'll have to look at a few baggers with wheels. Hardly worth it if you can't even see 'em.

Best way to show off your wheels is a smaller fender with a 21" front wheel and a single disc on the left side. There used to be some 10" dual rotor set-ups on custom fronts but you'd need to change the lowers or get/make some adapters to move the calipers to fit them. Of course with smaller rotors or only one you will lose braking performance.

Smaller rotors equate to less "leverage" hence poorer brake performance.

You should look into a 13" rotor and caliper single disc option. That will expose the entire right side of the wheel.

I opened this thread thinking it was someone trying to fit larger rotors to improve performance not smaller ones to show off bling ...

What was I thinking.. From my perspective few things look better than an oversized set of rotors on a bike... NEVER would have though of reducing the size
