Well, I'm no expert but it has foam rubber inside and vinyl material on the outside. I use a vinyl and/or leather cleaner and conditioner depending on which bottle I happen to grab. Either one works fine for me. By the way, I love my stock seat, has been very comfy for my 250 plus pounds of gorgeous flab. Don't understand why so many riders switch it out for something else.
