Question Dynatek Ignition Module

I see they sale a Dynatek 2000 TC for Twin Cam 88ci Harleys with carbs. I had my 2001 FLHTC (Electra Glide Classic) upgraded with a 95" bike bore kit and Andrews 26 cam and a Mikuni 42 carb. It runs fine however, I was wondering if I could get improved performance with installing an up graded ignition module such as the Dynatek.

Does anyone have experience with these? What improvements can I expect? Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

They were pretty popular back in the day. Had one on my '94 RK. Crane and Spike also had good ones. They basically give a little more advance curve.

Those ignitions are generally used with BIG cams and high compression pistons (and single fire coils)to adjust the timing and avoid detonation. (among other things) If you have the TW26a cams, that's a bolt in that is under 1/2 inch lift. That ignition isn't going to do anything for you. It's running well now... spend that money on more gas!

I have one on my '88 FXSTC. HD's worked fine but I got vibration from both plugs firing at the same time. The Dynatek cured that. The timing curves come in handy as well.
