The recall is not the only problem with the 14s. I bought my FLHTK Aug 21. Aug 30 it was in the shop. The main primary seal was leaking, they kept it a week said it was installed incorrectly at the factory. Ok... A week later stopped at McD for a biscuit, dismounted and saw orange coolant spilling out, hauled *** to the dealer so they could see it but it had stopped leaking. They kept it a week and could not duplicate. So we went for another ride. 600 miles. First stop the coolant came out again. Called the dealer they said ride it that way then bring it back in when you get back. Ok. Took it back to the dealer 1000 miles on ODO now. They have had the bike three weeks, say parts on order (Pressure Cap??) Sheesh, you would think they could take a pressure cap off a new bike or...maybe something is wrong with all of them?? Could it be?? I hope not because now I have the recall notice for the hydro clutch problem. It may not engage. 1000 miles three problems. Probably should have kept my 06 Ultra Classic. When will I learn? I'm always on the bleeding edge
Dealer called me on Tuesday and said my bike was in and I could pick it up Thursday, told him I was working but would be there Friday. Got on here Wednesday and found out about the recall. Thursday got the call I was expecting telling me about the recall and they wouldn't be getting parts until next week. Saturday the wife and I went by the dealer and I went in the shop and saw my bike (Daytona Blue Pearl). I told them give me a call when it's ready. I got my 2010 to ride feel for the guys that don't have something to ride.
Guys got two posts, just now joined to post two posts complaining about his '14.....you make the call
...ya..I thought about that, but it's not just him...on page one in the "why buy a 14" Poll...some guy named "SafetyMan" go called a troll for not wanting to buy a 14...it's getting a little ridiculous....
Wow. They are going to fix this at NO cost to the purchaser !
How wonderful of them.
Wow, never had a recall before?
You don't pay to have one fixed.
Recalls are VERY common on any vehicle.
My Toyota goes in this week too and yes, that is free too.

Actually, the whole calling someone a Troll thing aggravates me. I seriously doubt it's that uncommon to buy a Harley, and then join a forum to talk about it good or bad. How many posts someone has is totally irrelevant.
