Default Draggin' Baggers

I've read all the "disappointment" posts, and seen all the "junk" advice. Now I want to know is anyone using the Draggin Bagger setup with good results? Is anybody happy with this product?

I too can say that I am not "completely" dissatisfied with the Draggin' Baggers system. It's provided me with what I was looking for which was a means of getting the bike into a riding height that I feel comfortable with. I'm short, plain and simple. I'm disappointed in Tony and Amee for bailing on those of us who decided to stick with the system as opposed to just sending it back for a refund. The Monroe shocks do not offer the greatest ride, but neither did the stock shocks the way I was running them. I was using a 1 3/4" RUB lowering kit and in order to avoid rubbing the fender I had to pump up the shocks to around 25-30 PSI, 40 if I was riding 2 up.

I am planning on replacing the Monroe shocks with either a set of Bilstein air shocks from Arnott Industries or Platinum Air Shocks from Shooter64. Both carry a fairly high price tag, but are more appropriate shocks for our bikes weight and travel requirements.

I would suggest that if you are considering an air ride system go with a proven, reputable manufacturer. If you don't have the cash for one of those systems then piece together a system from various air suspension sources and get Gabriel shocks part number 49233 which only compress to 10.5" so you should avoid any fender rubbing issues.

I havent had to much trouble out of mine. I had a couple of leaks at the fittings. A little soap and water and making sure the tube was perfectly cut, and no problems.

Seems like the DRAGGIN BAGGERS SYSTEM is like owning a boat. Two best days, day you got it and day you got rid of it!

bdjhog,
I was under the impression we need Gabriel part #49304 that is orginally for a Corvette. I did a search at Gabriel on part # 49233 and it dont give any specs, but fits 95-03 Ford Windstars. Are the 49233's a better fit for the E-Glides?

I didn't put mine on yet. I will need a new tire in a couple of weeks and was planning on installing them then unless someone buys them from me first. I think the way I plan to use them they will work fine. Don't plan on driving them lowered, just like the idea it is easy to add air for 2 up.

The 49304's have the exact sametravel specs as the Monroe shocks supplied with the DB system. They compress to 9.75" which is too low and will cause rubbing on the fender and subsequent damage to the wiring harness running under there. The 49233's compress to only 10.5" so the rubbing shouldn't be an issue, however they extend to 15.5" which is way too tall so the lower shock mount will hit your exhaust pipe. So there's the dilemma, the 49304 go too low and the 49233 go too high.

The Arnott Industries shocks:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...460&rd=1,1

may just be the best solution to the problem. They have a travel length of 10"-13" and are valved for a weightmore suitable for our motorcycles. But at $599 if it's not a better ride then you wouldbe better off just trying to sell the DB system and buying a Legends, Hi-Low ot Platinum system.
