Default Powerlet Wireless Temperature Controller

Looking for a permenent solution for mounting a dual control for heated gear. I've seen most of the pictures on the forum (and copied one). Has anyone tried the
Powerlet Dual Wireless Temperature Controller?

Here is a link: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/p...ure-controller

Man, this thing looks like the ticket. The jacket and glove wires plug into the controller and the controller plugs into the bike. The remote control could be mounted just about anywhere. Has anyone tried it? Do you like it? What is the quality like?

Thanks,

JH

Thumbs up I use the dual remote heat controller from First Gear

That one looks strangely almost identical to the one from first gear and mine from First Gear works great. I put it in the pocket of my jacket or strap it to my wrist and glove to make it easy to access. Have only been using it for one season so can't tell you how long it will last.

I've had the Powerlet jacket liner, glove liners and remote for over a year and love it! Everything is quality construction and works flawlessly. The Infra technology really works, no internal wires, no hot spots and the entire glove liner heats up. Several of my riding buddies have bought the same setup after they saw mine . I've ridden as low as 26* with only a long sleevt t shirt, liner and cloth jacket and was toasty. I'm surprised you don't hear more about Powerlet. The jacket liner works best if it is snug. Revzilla is great to deal with.

I am not familiar with this wireless control, but Powerlet is a very good company, have been around for a long time, the BMW crowd swears by them, the newer BMW bikes come with a Powerlet type port from the factory..
I believe you could buy and be very confident with the product...also comes with lifetime warranty...
I may look into the single for my use...no cords sounds great.

I have the Warm n Safe version of the remote. I believe he makes them for First Gear and Powerlet. Mount it to the handlebars with a bicycle mount. Holds great. Love having the controls at my fingertips. Mine is going into its second season. Never had a problem.

You still have a cord from your jacket, etc going to the connector that's attached to the battery...

Used Velcro attached next to speedo elevated enough to allow me to turn ***** with gloves....works great. Leave on at work, but take off and throw in bag some places. Use good commercial Velcro.

Gloves rock...using with helm freezers and guessing could do -50 with them.....1/2 setting at 25F and hands too hot. Jacket not sure yet....with lined leather, full power, not real impressed.....been thinking of seeing if they will exchange, maybe a bad one? Quality seems top notch and can't believe should be such a difference between the gloves and jacket.

Thanks for your input dudes. I already have a Gerbings jacket liner and G4 gloves. Gloves are too bulky, so I got the warm and safe glove liners. Love them. Life is good when you are warm.
