Wet dryer sheets work amazingly well. All you need is water. Bugs melt off and there easy to carry in a baggy. I usually use them at gas stops. If no water then I use my spot cleaner that I always carry for the liquid.

If I was going to use some kind of ding protection theres a few companies that make clear plastic like the screen protector on your cell phone I want to get them for the saddle bag lids to protect from heel scuffing. Those black bra things are hideous IMHO.

I have an 04 EGC that I bought used. The paint was chipping around the windshield mounting screws. It has the factory red and silver paint scheme. After pricing getting it re-painted, much cheaper to go with the fairing protector with the H-D logo embossed on it. Easy to keep clean too. This pic was taken the day I put it on. Within a few days, it tightened up a smoothed out all the wrinkles.

Those things ruin paint. A spec of dust or dirt under them and they act like sandpaper.

NEVER USE GLASS CLEANER ON YOUR WINDSHIELD OR FIBERGLASS! Glass cleaner is for glass only and occasionally chrome. Glass cleaner will haze windshields due to the alcohol and ammonia, and on fiberglass it will strip it of all protective wax.

I use Meguiars
Ultimate Wash & Wax Anywhere

Use microfiber cleaning clothes. I use 2, one to clean off the bug guts and the other to dry and polish. Good for all surfaces. Just make sure your pipes are cool before spraying it on and wiping it off, microfiber rags will melt on hot pipes.

I use this everyday and it cleans and shines perfectly.

All these ideas are pretty clever , but I like bug slide , you can use it on all surfaces , also I have been using furniture polish on the windshield. It puts a shine to it and bugs come off easier.

Exactly! I carry a can of Pledge in the pack with 2-cut up tee shirts. $3.00 expense. Works great, been doing it for years. $8.00 for 4oz of bug-no crap?? Microfiber rags?? WTF?

BUGSLIDE!!! The ultimate detailer in a bottle. Chrome, painted surfaces, and windshields it does it all.
