Oil Change
I have 1700 miles on last oil change...do I need to chance oil or wait until I normally change it at 5000 miles? Winter is coming and going in storage for winter. Thanks in advance. Using Mobile 1 V-Twin 20-50.

Owners manual is very clear on the matter. 5,000 miles or one year.
Is it 5K? yes= change no= don't change. One year? yes= change no=don't change.
Very easy flow chart to follow. Nowhere does it say 3-4 month storage=change.

oil is cheap right? If you shop right that oil can be had for 7.99/quart
Fresh oil and filter, store it , put a tender on it and don't start it unless you can get it hot enough to burn out any condensation or contamination from blow by.
