I received my Menace bars today and I had forgotten to ask Carlini what size cables when ordering. So, I put a phone call into them this evening to ask. Tech support said and I quote, "We don't know... we sell a kit". Needless to say, I am trying to research if Carlini bars run taller than advertised? What size cables would I needed for install on a Streetglide? I am planning on running cables in stock locations without changing route. Any help would be appreciated.
I have the same bars but went with 16inch bars I went 10 over and it is fine. And ya I got the same support from Carilni not willing to help unless you buy all the stuff from them. Some compay's get it and some don't. Oh ya 8 over you will be fine
i had carlini gangster apes on my last bike (2006 road king custom). 8" over will work fine. the menace apes will be difficult to internally wire because of the angle. the only difference in sizing is with the electrified bagger apes. they have a 10" and 15" size. in actuality, the 15's are 12.5" or 13" from knurling to handle height. i was there the other day and he acknowledged they are mis-advertising it. all others are true to size.
Thank you for the reply. I know the internal wiring is going to be a pain. Fortunately, I have friends, custom fabricators and can even make a day trip to Namz for them to install the extensions and internal wiring for a nominal fee.
I wanted to get a set a bars that were not common to every other bike. I have done forum searches and google searches and didn't come up with anything when it came to the Menace. I am a repeat customer of Carlini and really like their products.
Some of you guys are real comedians (regular knee slapping). I don't know if your either trying to be the internet tough guy or trying to increase your post count by adding comments to a thread without contributing anything but sarcasm. Either way it sounds like you are trying to compensate for lack of either brains, testosterone or manhood. For those who actually had something to contribute to the thread thank you for your time and experience.
