2014 Boom audio left thumb control lever button stopped working
Sorry if this question has already been asked but, On my 14 SGS my left thumb control lever button (left and right next song) stopped working (maybe after the last update) when my iPhone 5 is plugged in or if a USB flash drive is plugged in with music on it. It does work on the iPhone if it is not plugged in and playing music over Bluetooth. The left and right thumb control seems to work with all other functions. Anyone had this problem? It seems like a software issue to me? It sucks not being able to change a song.
I can't remember the exact path to get there right now, but you need to go into menu, settings, and make sure it's set to seek, and not scan. I'm guessing the update changed that setting. Had the same problem when I inadvertently changed that setting.
Before the update my radio did whatever it felt like doing, shutting off and restarting randomly, screen blanking out but still playing music, shutting off altogether, left button would adjust volume but not forward to the next song, etc. The update for the 4.3" has helped however I'm still having issues with it restarting or shutting off just not as frequently. I'm going to borrow a newer ipod and see if that helps, until then I'll keep riding for now as I just got it back from the clutch recall. Here's the latest version (1.17.1.1 for the SGS); http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US...bmLocale=en_US

OH MAN Thanks!!!. Been trying to figure out why my left joystick wouldn't advance music from my flash drive.

Thank you, thank you!!! That was it!
For the record...
When playing music from flash drive or iPhone press menu in top right corner of screen, make sure left top large button says Seek and not Presets.
