How tall are you, Tedjay?

I'm 6'2" with long legs. I had a Sundowner on my Sportster but have a Tallboy on my RKC. The Tallboy is essentially a Sundowner that moves you back 2 inches from stock. I have 25,000 miles on it and love it. The only caution is that the 2 inches it gives you it takes away from your passenger. My wife is petite so that is not an issue for us, but if that is not your case, keep that in mind.

Looks like a great seat, but I don't see it with the basket weave or solo.

Yeah, I think you are right on both scores. To me, a couple square inches of basket weave weren't as important as comfort on a long trip. But you're right, there is not a solo version that I am aware of.

Good point. I'm trying the seat out tomorrow. Definitely don't want to be closer to the tank, so that's now on my mind.

I can't speak to the down and forward aspect but my Sundowner Seat is very comfortable. I changed the seat before I ever picked up the bike so never rode the stock seat. Love my heated Sundowner seat.

I'm 6'3" 34" inseam and have a Sundowner seat. My problem with it is that it feels like it moved me forward and now the edge of the seat hits me too far up on the back of my legs. Makes it feel real uncomfortable on long trips. I rarely use it. I think I'll try a Airhawk cushion next, and if that doesn't work, I guess I'll fork over the cash for a Hammock. I took a short ride on a RG with a Hammock and I really liked it more compared to the Sundowner.

I am 6'2" and I have a sundowner. Wife and I like it. It is way better than the stock seat. Not much different seating position than stock maybe a tad higher. I bought a Mustang and the quality was amazing but my butt didn't like it as much as the sundowner so I returned it. Dennis kirk has a 90 day return policy and the best prices I have seen. For the wife she likes the sundowner but for trips over 300 miles she uses an air hawk. The sundowner works good for me with no discomfort up to 400 miles. The stock seat was terrible! I have not tried the hammock. I don't think any of them look cool but for long distance comfort is much more important.
