I have a 21" front tire and I'm currently running the stock fender with no mods on my 09 RK. Although, I have purchased a Klockwerks level fender for more of a tire hugging look. I wish the painter would get it finished!!!!

The wheel itself will be either 21x3, 21x3.25 or 21x3.5 depending on brand and style. The tire for a 21" that is most commonly used is a 120/70/21 but Harley also makes a 130/60/21. Your stock tire is a 130 width on the front.

Most people opt for the 120/70/21. It will fit under your stock fender but we recommend double checking clearance between fender and tire with a 5/16" nut. You might need to elongate the rear two mounting holes on the front fender to ensure that there is enough clearance as you need to allow for growth of the tire at speed on the highway. Some people say that this step is not necessary but if you have ever seen what happens if the tire rubs you will agree with me.

The 21 fills the fender up much better than the stock wheel does. See some pics in our Bagger Gallery

I don't care what brand tire you are running, etc....double check the clearance. It takes just a few minutes.

If you are referring the fat spoke wheels, they are offered as "sealed" but i don't sell them that way as experience has taught us that they will often time start to leak. So, we put a tube in right off the bat to ensure there will not be a problem.

I ran those fat spokes (3 different sets) on a few of my bikes. The first set I got tubeless and it started to leak after I changed the tires. Tubed them at that point. I ran tubes from that point on. All of our billet wheels are tubeless.

Love that look. What's the change in the handling?

The bike steers a little bit slower at slow speeds. It sits about 1.25" higher in the front. Many people choose to lower the front end 1" when adding a 21" front wheel but it is not necessary.

I like the looks of my RKC, and would like to keep that classic look with a spoked wheel - just the standard spokes. What does something like that cost (approximately)?

It all depends on what brand wheel you get. The spokes that I sell (40 straight spokes) are around $700 for the wheel itself.

Hey Thanks for the info, these guys are all over this. Thanks everybody I'm certain a 21 wheel is in the future.

Is the sidewall a percentage of the tread width as in car tires. assuming that the 120/70 would be just a tad taller than a 130/60 with the 130 obviously being wider, Is this correct?
