Default grease headset?

anybody use waterproof marine grease in the headset. i would think its better at keeping water out during washing but would like to know what u guys think

To me, a headset is what you put on to use the intercom. Why would you put any kind of grease in a headset?

I think we are not meaning the same thing.

its your steering stem. they call it a headset in motocross. sorry.

I knew what you were talking about, but I've built mountain bikes.

I use Lucas Red 'N Tacky for the steering tube beaings.

Yes,I've got marine grease in mine right now.Been in there for a couple yrs.

I use JCB digger grease - it's blue and matches my bike. I don't have any plans to try floating my bike.......

I used it and my local dealer noticed the color of the grease did not match HD stuff and gave me a little grief but it did not effect my warranty claim.

I just used a hi temp...I think green something...I now have red n tacky in the grease gun so it will go in next...
