Harley offers two choices:
45-Amp Charging System-29999-97B Link
And
High Output Charging System-29900028 Link
I have a SoundStream 4.520 Amp pushing 4 Polk Audio Speaker, two 6.5" and two 6X9 and so far have had no charging problems. My dealer's parts guy showed me the second system upgrade because he knew I had a high powered audio system. At this time I don't plan on upgrading, but if I have problems I'll have to see which route to take.

How often do you run your system with the bike not running?
It looks like you have a newer frame that would have the 3 phase I dont know what year bike you have, when you play the stereo with bike ign off you just run off the battery I was killing mine at idle the single phase only put out up to 15 amps which was not enough. The 3 phase puts out more stable amps at idle I would have to go back and see I think around 35amps at idle

I have a 2011. Right I understand its just running off the battery when the ignition is off. I guess my whole point is do I need to spend the money to upgrade or am I fine the way I am? Someone earlier said that GP and UltraNutz didn't change their charging system out and they are running way more than I am. If thats the case then I think I should be fine.

You are running a class D amp. You, and the OP as well since the JL is also a class D, will not need any upgrades to the charging system. Class D uses very little off the charging system.
UN is running (2) 900 watt class d amps (1800 watts total) and is only drawing 9 amps from what I recall. You won't need to upgrade your charging system.

I've got 6 JL Audio speakers on mine (2 in front, 2 in back, 2 in lowers), and a JL amp in the tourpak. Never upgraded anything, and never had a problem. It'll be 2 years in April of 2014.
