Have you checked out if the original license plate mount on bottom of the tour-pak can be removed? Is it structural?
I'm thinking about this for my license plate mount;
Thats funny i was just looking at that. It looks structural.I want to see more of my rear fender.This weekend i will take the tour pack off its rack and see what i can do. Im thinking at least the size of a license plate maybe more can be cut out and touched up with black paint,will see. I was thinking about that spot to,the wiring, saddlebag removal,and how wide the license plate is was a no go for me.IF you like it go for it,looks good on that bike. The filler panels bolt right up!
how did you mount the plasma rods to the filler panels?
Their not, there on the Chrome support Bar.
3M tape comes on the plasma rods. FastSteel, Epoxy Putty Stick. I filled the middle valley just shy of the top edge. If you look at the pic of the plasma rod mounted on the right side you can see Epoxy.
How did you wire them up? Did you use one of CD's run/brake controllers? If so, what part #? Thanks.
If you go into the brake light assembly, there are two "ports" at the top of the base plate that are wired for turn and brake lights. I'm fitting a set of RK turn signals on my 2014 Ultra which will function as turn and brake but not running. I spoke to Custom Dynamics, at this time they don't have a module to function as running also. Harley is showing a module in the P &A catalog that says will work as brake/running/turn for "2014 Touring models with original Equipment flat lens turn signal" . So I'm thinking that it may work for my application.
