Question about USB for BOOM 6.5

I know this is probably a dumb question but does the 2014 Boom Audio accept only MP3 files or will it also play WMA files?

I was just wondering the same thing about whether the new 6.5 systems will read .wma files. Searched the forums and it brought up this thread. I did open the manual from the link and all it references is mp3 files. Bike is at the dealer for winter storage. Can anyone confirm or deny that the new systems will play .wma files from a USB thumb drive?

Downloaded the manual and did a search for wma - no luck. Think you're gonna have to get a wma to mp3 converter.

That's what I was afraid of. ugggghhhh... Too many .wma files. 32G worth. Going to have to script this out or something.

I have MPEG, AAC, and MP3 on mine. Not sure if that makes any difference for your issue. FYI...the file requirements are the same for the 6.5" and the 4.3"
