A couple weeks ago I posted about my new bike.. a 2014 Limited that my wife bought for me as an early Christmas present as a way to celebrate us making it through a very difficult year.. Anyway.. for anyone who's at all interested.. I'm up to just under 900 miles on the new bike, so far, it's been great. No issues with the clutch or the liquid cooling. ( those issues were addressed before I took delivery ) I know there's lot's of different opinion's on the new bikes.. and that's all good.. we all get to choose for ourselves, but for me.. I'm very impressed so far. I know it's a new motor.. but still, this bike does everything my '09 did but does it better. It rides better, it steers and handles better, it's got a much much better motor, and yep, I'm even gonna say I like the new bags and tour pack. The new radio / electronic package took a little time to learn since I'm not a "tech" guy but.. once again, I have to say I'm pretty impressed so far. I'm the first to admit I'm not a guy who grew up on pan's and shovel's.. But like I said, for whatever it's worth, I am a guy who put almost 50k on the '09 and another 6k on my XR.. so I do have a little time on HD's.. not that any of that makes me an expert.. bottom line, so far I'm very impressed with this motorcycle.. It's gonna get it's first long ride test this spring on a ride to key west.. so we'll see.
Last thing is.. next week it goes in for it's thousand mile service.. while there, it's getting S&S true dual headers, Rinehart mufflers, a pro tuner, a stage one air filter and dyno tuned.. I'm obviously looking forward to seeing what it's like when I get it back.
Always nice to hear from a happy owner, mavrick. HD did a lot of little changes and improvements on that bike.
I assume water cooled exhaust valves will eventually work their way across the line, I wonder where the radiator is going to go on the tourers w/o lowers?

Glad you like your new bike, I saw the Rider mag review, they liked it too.
Very interested in how it runs when you get the headers etc. installed. Any chance you can get before and after dyno charts posted? I'd love to see how much difference it makes.
Glad you are happy with your new scooter. The LTDs seem to be selling quite well here in the Daytona area, and everyone I've run into that owns one loves them.
I'll do my best to get the before and after dyno info.. I'm told.. and we all know how that goes.. with the set up I'm getting, there should be definite improvement as far as torque, and low end power and acceleration goes .. ( 10 to maybe 12 percent I'm guessing.. ) I should see some top end improvement as well but not as much as what I'll get on the low end side of things.. good for a touring bike but probably not the best for a go fast bike.. Either way, I'll know soon enough. And thanks for all the positive comments..
