I just wanted to let anyone that has or wants a cvo solo seat like myself you CAN get a drivers backrest...It's not OEM but a company called grasshopperlimited.com makes them. I just spoke to them on the phone and are very helpful and if you don't run the rear passenger pillon they will drop it down so it doesn't stick up to much. Haven't gotten it yet but I ordered it at 8:30am and got a shipping notice at 8:45am...can't beat that. Just a FYI post..
Cool to know. But after a few long rides with the stocker, I traded in an old sundowner I had left after selling my Dyna, for a stock RG seat. The CVO seat was, to quote Charles Barkley, "turrible" for anything longer than an hour or so in the saddle.
Will try and have the regular RG seat re-covered with as close to same material as possible. Comfort is way up for longer rides, can run an HD adjustable backrest, and still have the much nicer looking stocker for blasting around home.
That was the solution to my particular problems anyways..
I personally think it's pretty comfy. I had a badlander on my streetglide and did 600 miles in 2 days I have to say that seat was good for me but I wanted to go with a solo instead. I guess maybe I have two big cushions on my ***? Lol..and the stock seat sucks, it sits me up so high I feel awkward. I'm selling it ASAP
