You also keep your existing trim ring in place. The new ring slips over it and you tighten it down.

I am going to pull the trigger on the Phase 7 and passing lamp kit from discount Fleet Supply.

Does the 2013 EG Ultra Classic need the H4 to H13 adapter?
Do you need any sort of trim ring for the phase 7 series?
I have the mod (relocated the two wires in the connector) to keep my passing lamps on w/ hi beams. Any issues continuing?
I sold my Ultra and took off my Phase 7 and the trim ring part number 69733-05 (Like BZb123's but chrome).
I used the head light about 5 monthes. Light cost $300.....trim ring was about $43.
I have a Road Glide now...won't fit. Got a reasonable offer?
I had the spot lights too, but didn't have any stock ones to replace them with.

I bought the Phase 7 from Eastern and plan on putting on a Kuryakan halo ring -- one web site said the halo ring would not fit a 2009 CVO Ultra Classic -- didn't think there is a difference in the fairing on a 09
