If you had $1,000 to do performance enhancements to a stock 06 Street Glide, what enhancements would you do? Please be specific, if pipes, which ones, etc.
If you're going to ride in Anoka, Stillwater, North St Paul or WBL choose your pipes wisely. They are really cracking down on loud pipes. Thunderheaders = way too loud. Good luck on your upgrades.
Rinehart True Duals: $610.95
RevTech DFO: $169.95
Big Sucker, chrome: $119.95
Total: $900.85
The prices above include shipping from American Classic Motors on their eBay store. I just ordered the above earlier this week and will install myself.
I'm over by $39 dollars, but I'd go the following:
1. pcIII usb from fuelmoto-$269.00
2. Rinehart True Duels from cyborg cycle-$675 (find out where loch got his for $610)
3. Big Sucker from cyborg cycle-$95
Total------------------------------->$1039
Note I said PCIII due to your budget, but I myself went with the Thundermax.

I went with the Rinehart T/D`s, SE-A/C and Daytona Twin Tec TCFI/WEGO IID system and could not be happier with my choices.
DTT complete kit $850.00 shipped
R-H T/D`s $700.00 shipped
SE-A/C $110.00 dealer....Spend the extra now and you`ll be better off in the long run...IMHO
I think the DTT has a WEGO II with single O2 for less that fits your application....
