For those that have used the different shields available for Road King...and I know there are a few of you...lol.
How much difference is there in the amount of recurve on the Long Ride, KW Billboard and Clearview?
About the same or does one have more than others. I'm wanting to get the darker tint and thinking the more recurve will allow for a shorter shield...relatively.
I have the tinted Long Ride. I'm 6'4" and it HELPED with buffeting, but didn't eliminate it. I went stock height and it still buffets. Depending on your height, not sure if the recurve will allow a shorter shield. It wouldn't have allowed for a shorter shield for me.
I have the clearview. Love it. I was able to go 2" shorter than the stock on my 03 King. Wind buffeting is a bit less too. I think for most, they def allow for a shorter shield.
I have curve type from Clearview and love it...its really the first shield I have had that I could look over without buffeting. Its a buy from my view!
I bought a KW billboard and really like it. It's 3 inches shorter than the stock one. Since I'm 5'8, I went with a 16" KW. I prefer to see over the thing than through it. It was helped with the buffeting, IMO.

5'8" here also and using the 16" billboard and loving it. Keeps the wind off the hands also.
