Default saddlebag liners

Has anyone installed these saddlebag liners? It has been recommended that I use a set of liners in my bags with the speaker lids. I don't want to glue them in and the HD liners are a bit expensive since I only want them to help out the sound.

You'll regret not gluing them in to make a really nice fit.

Using hook and loop (velcro) is your other option.

I was gonna say Velcro too. You may only need to use the hook side on the saddlebags to make secure.

Does your bag speakers sound bad now? What are you trying to accomplish?

I haven't finished installing the bag speakers so I don't know how they sound yet. A search on here about speaker lids indicated that the speakers tend to resonate in the bag. The liners were suggested to stop that problem. I didn't want the 5 piece set that is glued in as I wanted to be able to take them out. I believe the HD bags are removable. Velcro is fine with me. I was concerned that the liners in the link may not be very good.

You may want to install them first and go from there, I'm running 6x9's in the bags with 150 to ea. no issues, however very seldom I have nothing in the bags, so it's not as if their mounted in a giant void. Put a jacket in one bag, rag and detail spray in the other that should keep you from sounding like the 18 yr old, rattling the windows in his mother's Honda Accord while he listens to Snoop Dog, plus can keep you warm and wipe the bugs off

I am fortunate that I won't need them for the lids. I was hoping to see how good the liners in the link were since they are almost half the price of the ones HD offers.

I bought the same ones through Eastern Performance. Absolutely NO complaints! They fit fine, look fine, and still allow a lot of things to be carried, and cost less than Harleys. You won't regret them!
