i scheduled my dyno tune for april 7th. the shop asked me if i had powercones in the exhaust. i don't. he said he highly recommends them and it makes a big difference. anybody agree/disagree?
i have them in my 98 dyna, carbureated. didn't really notice a difference.
i haven't heard anyone on this forum talk about powercones. was this just a sales pitch? he quoted them at 50 bucks for the pair.
IMO, they go in the wrong end of the pipe to do any good. People wouldn't use the thinner SE exhaust gaskets if stopping up the exhaust port was good for peformance.
i've used em...they do work....i'll be installing them on my bike very soon, like when i have the bungs welded in for the DTT...others dont agree but so what...b
I have power cones in my Samson II, Rip Saws. The Rip Saws come without baffles. The bike runs real good. I don't know how much if anything that the power cones contribute.

you will be pleased....they stop reversion...something i wont explain cause most have no idea what it is or what it does...they do however give you a seat of the pants feel in the lower rpm range
