Don't what the law is in your state but here in California you can walk away from any deal UNTIL you take or drive it off the lot. But I wouldn't fret anyways, I'm sure they will get it squared away.
bike still not done . or fixed yesterday I was told it is being dyno now .,today they told me that they changed a lot of things and the bike has yet been dyno . I told them I did not want it anymore . they said all loan papers had been sent out ., now the owner is checking out what is going on
Probably before the guy traded it in he changed some parts off the bike, like taking off a 2 into 1 or true duals, or ??????
That is a logical assumption. know i take parts of anything i get ready to trade. eveybody is too quick to jump to extemes with very little info on here and scares the guy.
dont rush them to fix it, as long as they still own it its their problem. dont want them to get tired of hearing oyu and just thow the bike at you and not truely have it fixed. im sure they will get it dialed in soon. good luck.. dont let everybody scare you
Not too sure if 'buyers remorse law' applies in Ohio for motor vehicles. I would start with the loan/sales contract if anything is in there about limits on changing your mind, particularly if the dealer still has the bike. Also, since the dealer is still trying to fix it for days now, check into if the 'lemon law' applies. I don't know about lawyering, but I know there are strict restrictions on 'lemon laws'.
IMO, I'd try to get out of it. Let us know how it goes.
ok today they had it on the dyno for over 3 hours , I never heard from them so a friend went up there and seen it on a lift , with no heads on it . and they never called me again lol
ok today I went to the Harley store ,its back together and still does not idle ., they said tomorrow they are going to try to dyno it again . I just laugh and left and no I did not get mad ,just laugh and said to them ok just let me know
so did you walk into the store just as they took it in on trade and bought it on the spot. OR the question I do not see an answer for, do dealers take in trades without doing a test ride and then just plunk the bike in on the for sale row. Is there nothing done until someone buys it?
no . lol they had the bike for 3 weeks ,it was in the back and they have not gone over the bike yet , I was there and the sales manager ,which is a friend of mine told me about it .so I looked at it and told him I wanted it , we both knew the guy that had it , all the work on it was from that dealer . he traded for a 2014 street glide .the price I got that it for was good ., anyhow they are doing what it takes plus giving my a 1 year warrenty with it now . im not mad about the bike ,I,m upset that they don't let me know whats going with it or get back to me when they say they will . one more thing they told me if I don't want It they will stop all paper work and give me back my down payment in full plus give me the 100. I spent on a back rest off e-bay .and by the way most dealers don't test drive newer trade in,s
It's good you have that kind of rapport with the dealer. I kinda have the same after I bought 2 bikes and a crap load of accessories, as well as introduced a couple friends and they bought bikes from them.
Whenever I walk in now, I hear a faint 'cha-ching'.
