Got a big trip in a few weeks, and the ball and chain wants to "go for a ride"......For a 10 day trip, I need dry jeans, clean drawers, and I'm good. The old lady needs makeup, blow dryers, "outfits"(?).....I've told her, you get the left saddlebag, I get the right, we share the trunk.nonononono! I get the glove boxes, an she wants everything else....nonononono! OK, I'm gonna cave here. What's the best chunk of luggage that will fit on the luggage rack, and not make the bike look like I'm a refugee from Afghanistan? Needs room for all of the old ladies crap. I'll pack all she wants, but what if I forget to pack her rainsuit?
Nice post there Daddybones. If you forget to pack the rainsuit you best pack your travelin' bag, you know what I'm saying? Cause if the Ol'bag ain't happy, LOOK OUT!
Have fun Bro,
Nardo
Dekker Supreme by T-bags..........I've had one for 2 years and love it! you can fit a ton of stuff in this thing, and it's made specifically for the big rack on the Glide tour pack! Can't say enough good about it.www.tbags.com will get you to their site. But shop around, you'll find a better price than what they list, mine was like 179. One of the best investments I've made for my Glide for the longer runs.
Looked at the t Bags...thanks for the advice, that's probably the route I'll take. I did tell her about not taking her rain gear....the classic response..."...we don't plan on riding in the rain, do we???...." Ya, this will be an awakening experience for mama-san......wish me luck, as i'll probably go on a tri-state killing spree about half way through the trip..... Anybody know any good bail-bondsmen?
Yep, I had the same problem. Not enough room for hair dryers and shoes. I broke down and bought a trailer. Don't like to pull it, or the image I give others while pulling it, but I gave in. I like having my ole lady on the back and traveling for several days without a problem of storage space.
you know haveing your women is a good thing with ya , but dam next thing you will be doing is selling your bike and cruising in a motor home, just to have her with you.
