Default Battery Tender hook up?

Do the harley battery tenders plug into the accessory plug or do you have to use the clips? 2010 FLHTK.

The pigtail has a two point plug, one side male, one side female. The charger has the same, just on reversed sides.

The pigtail hooks to the battery with two round connectors, one black, one red.

i believe he is talking about the connection to the actual bike i took the end of the tender cut the ends put two crimp on loops and used the bolts the hold the battery cable to the battery. and hide the plug somewhere easily accessible.

The new '14s do.
Previous years would depend on if the dealer added one or not.
Most dealers added them (and charged you for it), but not all of them.

Starting with the 2014 bikes, they are factory installed.

Here is the Harley Battery Tender Jr link. You can see all that comes in the package. If you use the permanently connected pigtails, you will not need the clips (unless you have another 12v battery).

http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...battery-tender

The Harley set up is $50 bucks. You can buy the exact same tender, without the Harley sticker, for around $20 bucks from online retailers.

If you have the charger, but not the pigtail, you can buy the pigtail for around $7 bucks.

If you are not sure if one is installed, the plug is usually on the right side, near the oil filler cap. It may be tucked in close to there, and it may have a rubber plug cover on it.
