Just bought a 2006 FLHUCSE and am looking to lower it 1". I have been talking to Progressive and they aren't sure what the stock size of rear shocks come on the CVO's. They suggested that I go with progressive 444-4060c but when I look them up they are 11.5" shocks. I thought that stock shocks were 13" and I should go with progressive 444-4058c which are 12" shocks. Don't want to take her too low.
OH and yes I will be dropping the front with monotubes.
I'm with you. The S/E Ultra shocks are the same as the stock Electra Glide (54565-97C.) Those should be the 13" units and 12" would still give you some ride quality if you choose to go that route.
The 2004-2005 se Electra glides were factory lowered. The 2006-2008 se ultras were stock height. Progressive shocks make a nice addition to either of these.
If it was me I would borrow my kids ruler and verify what length my current shocks are eye to eye with no load on the bike. Since it is new to you, you never know what has been changed. If they are 13" shocks the distance will most likely be longer than the 12" ruler.
