I've had them on my 2013 Ultra Classic since the day I picked it up. Sound good and very well made. Only issue I had was the clamp on the rear heat shield broke so it was resting on the rear pipe and rattling. MSG stepped right up and send the dealer a new heat shield to install.
How are the loud baffles? Thats what I ordered too but haven't had them installed yet.
I can't compare them to the other baffles that MGS sells but I can compare them to the rinehart true duals on my Road King and they sound better. About the same loudness just a different tone and more throaty. They're loud when you get on it but not too loud at a cruise that you can't hear your tunes. I love the way they look. Mine are black with the black tip that follows the angle of the saddle bags.
Just like most riders I spent a reasonable amount of time looking and listening to the many exhaust systems that are available. I chose the MGS true duals because they look great and sound even better ! I was really impressed with the way the complete system fit and the finish is top grade. I dealt with Chris at MGS. It was an easy deal and quick shipping. Good luck with your decision.
If you have been bitten by the Thunderheader I would suggest staying with the Thunderheader. I have tried all exhausts and always go back to the TH. I tried duals and just couldn't handle the sound since I was so used to the 2-1 TH. Good luck with your choice.
Word. After three Thunderheaders (three bikes) I went to a FuelMoto head pipe and 4" Rineharts. Miss the Thunderheader. Will be getting another.
But, if I *were* to get a true dual system it would be the MGS system for sure.
