Ship your bikes with your household goods. Your transportation office will let you know what you need to do. US DOD on post inspections will most likely pass your lights as long as they work. None of my lights are stock and I had no issues. Bring stock exhaust for inspection and the swap back. Inspection is good for two years. Don't be an a$$ with the throttle in towns, cities or villages when the police are around and you should be fine.
Thanks again for the info. It figures about Switzerland my bike has dual headlights. Guess I'll just play dumb American. TMO will only ship one and 1 car. Anyone have experience with a car and bike shipper?

Ah, the Swiss! They have stricter noise laws than the USA, which is one of the reasons International spec models have quieter mufflers. However they also have even more contempt for their own laws and modify their bikes and cars in the extreme. You may find that you struggle to fit in!!!!!
Hello,
I am from Germany and Live in near of Grafenwöhr and Hohenfels Training area in Bavaria.
I think it should be easier for you if you have a US-plate. Bikes here in Germany have to Maintain 80 decibels! There is no potatoe Sound with stock pipes.
But if you reduce the Gas in cities, the Chance that the Police stop you is quite low.
I have a 2013 Street Glide with V+H Monster Ovals and ran 4000 Miles Last Year with no trouble (105db).
We are really looking forward to being there. She was told mid to late summer report time. Last year I spent the spring getting the bikes ready to go to Sturgis. Savannah Ga to Sturgis S.D. and back. Just over 4900 miles in 16 days. Now this spring I am going to be getting the bikes ready for the Autobahn.
From: Annemasse (border of Geneva-Switzerland) facing Mt-Blanc.

Do you have to empty all fluids to prepare for shipping?
I'm asking this because the panel of lubricants sold in the EU is slightly different.
Ship the Bike with your HHG...you are allowed recreational vehicle allowances...best to buy a years worth of oil, lubes before you get packed out...I pack mine in a cooler and tape it shut and put it in a box then have the movers box around it...label it misc Garage stuff, no biggie...you can get stuffed shipped to your APO...where in Germany are you PCSing to?...Weather here in spring summer and fall is awesome riding weather...now it is in the mid 30's to mid 40's .....not too bad if you layer up.
I am down in Southern Germany, Garmisch....
Yes fluids would have to be drained. Would seriously doubt if they would check the tranny or primary for empty. They may check the tank and pull the dipstick. There are plenty of places that will ship to an APO, just have to be patient on the mail.
