I have the Boom Audio speakers in the Fairing and lowers. These are not compatible?
Negative. If you attach a 2 ohm speaker to an amp or head unit that is only capable of running a 4 ohm load, then the unit will over-heat and clip, eventually causing it to fail completely.
I have been looking at the Biketronics radios but I haven't seen anything that says they will stand up to weather conditions. Am I missing something about that?
I purchased the cover for it for $20. It fits on nice and tight don't think weather will be an issue. (I hope...)

I thought the same thing, until it blew off going down the highway on our last three week road trip. Keep an eye on it, hopefully your ignition switch will stop it enough for you to catch it in time, I did a few times until the one time I saw it fly past my head!
I have had a biketronics setup for the last 5 yrs. Very pleased with the setup. But its not perfect. The first 2 Head units i had were Sony Marine and Both had water Damage thru Splashcover. I switched out to an Alpine marine ,that lasted around 2 yrs but was under warranty.I replaced that for 3 yrs with a Standard nonmarine Alpine with no problems.I no longer use the Splashcover, instead I use the kuryakyn trim pc with removable cover and I find that to be the best. When spraying around cover ,just mist lightly or you could have problems.I also found that I put a folded towel under cover when washing and it does get a wee bit wet. I have not had any problems since. i have also been caught in rain with no issues.

I drilled a small hole on the corner attached a small string that came with my old camera super glue the string , and tied it on the brake line .and i never lost it again . Cell phone string also will work . sorry no pictures . I sold it with the bike
Is there any way of toning down the graphics or getting a unit w/o? I'm not trying to hate on the until because it's clearly better than my stock unit but in my personal opinion, the graphics looks like its designed for a teenager driving a Honda Civic withone of those fart exhaust pipes.

Water and electronics don't mix. When going aftermarket, it's always best to use common sense. One of my best friends; I put a BT setup on his Roadie a few months ago with the MS60 head unit. The idiot leaves my house, rides right up to a car wash about 2 miles down the road, pressure washes his bike (clean bike to begin with I might add) and then returns to my house within the hour saying it all stopped working.
