I have mine on a handlebar mount with a Touratech shade and haven't had many issues with glare. I do like to map out my ride in advance and learning to use "Basecamp" has me cursing the thing. It has been very usefull for finding the next gas stop and I don't have a problem using it with gloves on.

I had the 550 already and moved to the 660 some years ago.
It is the best bike gps on the market. All functions available, sometimes too much :-)
Use it in the car and on the bike.
Take it with me to the US and mount it on the rent hd or cars. All routes preinstalled at home and it works perfect.

I had the Zumo 660 fairing mounted on our '10 Ultra and '12 Steetglide. It was replaced under warranty once due to locking up. Took 3 weeks to get another one. Of course it happened just BEFORE a 7 state, 3,000 mile trip! That changed my mind about the Harley Zumo entirely! Once I got the new replacement I sold it! I traded bikes and now have a '13 Limited with Garmin Nuvi 1450 LMT on a fairing mount in the same area. It is wired into the 12 VDC plug in the fairing. I never used the music on XM or the Zumo.

Anyway, all that to say, No more $$$ GPS for me. I now use a $100 Garmin, that has all the same features and am 110% HAPPY! If it dies, I'll buy another $100 Garmin and get on rolling without worries or waiting for a replacement under warranty. So far, 6,000 trouble free miles on this one.

PS....Using $15 eBay Garmin ball mount, not a $100 fairing mount set-up.

Yep. I've run over 60k with my 660. I use it for route mapping, Gas station/hotel finding, and tunes in the middle of nowhere. Well worth it for me. Got it used so it wasn't all that expensive. Keep an eye out for a used unit.

Ride Safe,

David

Yes on both accounts. Not sure on the bluetooth setup, I only have my iphone connect via BT to let me know if I have a call coming in.

I also integrated mine with stock audio system.

I like mine quite a bit. I download custom routes off trip planner. Have never used it for music. Audio directions through speakers is nice. I also have had to shade mine a few times due to glare but not really an issue for me. it rocks at night...even shows me where all the deer are at....

I have had the 660 almost 3 years. Have the fairing mount. I also use it to play music. I'm glad I bought it.

The only reason I would buy one of these is to load music on it. Otherwise, my 8 year old TomTom has served me well for many fun miles and I can view it just fine in the daylight. My buddy has a "motorcycle" Garmin, has a fancy shroud covering it for glare and he still gets lost.

Over 6k on my 660, I map out my routes using MS Map Point and upload to the 660. Wife & I make two 1,500k+ trips a year and found this method works great.

I've got a zumo 665 and am very pleased with it. I went the Garmin car GPS route for many years and thought that was the way to go, but if you are serious about touring, the Zumo is the way to go.
Don't rule out the 665 because you don't like XM radio. The weather feature is great. You can pull up a weather map any time, any where and it will warn you when you are heading into weather. To me, the weather is worth the extra C note.
