Default Fuel injector swap

Has any of you changed fuel injectors before? I'm sick of the horrible customer service at the dealers. Rather than being at there mercy I rather figure it out myself. Iv got an 2006 SG with the bad fuel injectors referring the service bulletin m-1185 dealer said $600 to fix manufacture f--k up found parts on eBay for $30 a piece. Now need a little direction as in, could I just pull the injectors out and replace with out gas leaking or?? Thanks in advance

Order your service manuals runs you through step by step.... for about $40.00 each still way below dealer cost to replace injectors and then you will know how to do it all.

You can look at the injectors and see if they are the old style or new. You can see them without taking them out to check. The new injectors will say 25 DEG on them. If it doesn't say 25 DEG then you have the old 8 degree injectors. Once that's verified then on to replacing them. I'm pretty sure that the dealer will have to reflash the ecu after the injector change.

Easy swap, if you actually need them. I removed the tank bolts and just propped it up to get decent access to the injectors. You may want to pull the tank completely to make it a little easier. Don't need an ECM reflash after the install, just a different spray pattern, same amount of fuel. I found a local injector shop that had new ones on the shelf for like $45.00 each, exact match not a generic replacement. they do say "25 DEG" on the side opposite the plug connector, just verify before you buy anything.

Ok so just pull the tank off and the injectors pull right out? Dose any gas leak, built up pressure behind injectors? Instead of getting it re flashed at dealer I was thinking a programmable tuner? Should be better than the re flash right?

If you are just changing the injectors there is no requirement to modify fuel management with a dealer download or aftermarket tuner
