Had my EITMS activate today @ 82 degrees outside temp. It sounded like crap. I could here the primary chain or possibly the compensator clanking. Really sounded bad. Turned EITMS back off and will probably stay that way.

Anyone else hear lots of noise in the primary, can really here it in neutral with the clutch out. I know about the transmission rattle and its not that... It's coming from the primary side when EITMS kicks on.

Old system relied on engine temp vs the newer bikes rely on ambient outside temp of 80 degrees to activate.

It finally got warm enough here so it kicked on. I do a lot of city and town driving so I will probably leave it on. But it does bring back the shakes like an old HD!

Leave it on. I had it on my 2011 and never turned it on. Then overheated in traffic when it was completely avoidable. Stupid!

I keep it disabled. I don't get stuck in hot traffic too often. When it does happen I just turn her off until we get moving again.
Me too...just feels wrong to me...Disabled until I hit Houston or Ft Worth traffic...
