I bought the Biker Bars to use in my toy hauler camper, but a friend borrowed my 6x12 open trailer to bring a Street Glide home several hundred miles and I installed a Biker Bar for him to use on that trip. 2x6 floor worked just fine. How secure it is really depends on the crossmember spacing under the floor and if the 2x6s are secured to each crossmember.
The saddle portion of the Biker Bar is heavy duty 1/2" steel plate and spans over at least 4 of the 2x6 boards. Beyond that, the lower plates that go under the floor help bridge the load as well. Unless your boards are only secured at each end of the trailer, this will work very well.
I've got a 12x6 enclosed trailer that we can use for two bikes if need be, but tie down is a beeitch! Has anyone used these, and if so, what do you think of them?
I bought biker bar a few years ago and its was great when I transported my bike across country a few thousand miles, never moved and was secure so lots of peace of mind for one, yeah pricy
