The reason I asked was because I was checking out the new Road Kings and when I sit on them I'm looking through the windshield which has alot of distortion to it and I wondered if people actually rode the bikes this way.

You can cut it down instead of buying a new shield.

The top should be just about even with your chin. This is what they tell you when getting fitted for aftermarket w/s's

These won't do anything for glare at night. http://www.peerclear.com/

You want to look over the shield.

Should never have to look thru, not safe, distorts vision when dry, on obstructs when fogged. If buying a new bike, negotiate correct factory wind screen in stalled at dealer expense prior to delivery. Most dealers should be happy to do this, as delivering a new motorcycle to a customer in a unsafe condition could be a liability to the dealer if a accident were to occur.

Look over. I cut my own shield down with a dremmel, then immediately just bought a Memphis Shades shorter shield anyways. Looking back, I should have bought the MS and sold the tall shield.
