OEM headset mounting

People, I made a living for 40 years it designing,repairing and putting things together, But how do you mount a H/D intercom headset onto a 3/4 jet H/D helmet?? I clamp in on as directed and plug in the cord and the weight of it will pull the clamp off the edge of the helmet. the helmet is tapered on the edge and there is nothing to clamp to. Another moco screwup!!! No I,m not drilling holes to mount it. and 2 sided tape doesnt work eather.

Secure the free end of the coiled cable ta the headset with nylon ties, or glue it into place is the only way ah know of....

If there's no lip around the edge of the helmet to attach to, you're SOL; unless you wanna get messy drilling, screwing, etc. May be easier getting another helmet.
