Don't forget to check the 2 bolts under the tranny that hold the exhaust bracket for tightness. I have read on here before that they tend to come loose. It took my bike 3 years but I found them loose today. They were the fist loose bolts I have found. They are a pain to get an allen wrench on but worth checking, they were loose enough to turn with my fingers.

I went over the whole bike and didn't find any other loose fasteners. Are there any other bolts that tend to come loose?

By the way I have an 11 Road King.

I locktite mine when I was in there to put in a longer clutch cable. Interesting how dependant those two bolts are for fluid retention....

They can be gone, and you wont leak any fluid.

While I was detailing the bike one day,I noticed both were missing.Must have never tightened them when I put the longer clutch cable on.

Ordered two new ones, and tightened them with a wobble allen;those allens work like a dream.

revised torque spec is 25 ft lbs.

easy tool is 1/4" screwdriver bit, put butt end first into allen and turn with 1/4" wrench.
