Up to 5-8 or 5-10" the 14's put you at shoulder height. Anything over that go with 16's and you'll be back to shoulder height. If I had to keep both hands on the bars it might get tiring but with the cruise control it's all good.

I had 16" LA Chopper Slim ***** bars but just put on some 16" Carlini Gangsta apes. The LA Chopper bars were a little more comfortable for me because they aren't as wide and have more pull back (but im only 5'7) plus they were easier to split lanes with in this LA traffic, but in my opinion the Carlini bars look way better and I love the 1.5" thick bars. Longest ride in a day so far was 450 miles and that was plenty with the badlander seat.
