I did a search and didnt find anything about this topic. But I got a different windshield (lexan only). Removed all the hardward and the glue they use for the brackets is some strong stuff. Anyone know a good tip on getting those brackets off without "jacking" up my existing lexan? I was thinking of using a blow dryer to heat of the glue.....what do you think??
Yeah that stuff is pretty strong. I worked an edge up with a tongue depresser and gently (by hand) separated the bracket from the windshield. Once you get the bracket lifted a bit you be able to get a good hand grip on it and will pop off. Take it easy and you'll be OK.
Glue line remover. Look up Sign, Equipment and Supplies in the yellow pages and see if they have some. Sign shops use it all the time to remove graphics and trim off vehicles, and it works great. If not, I can mail you some. I didn't see where you were from but N. Glantz will have it.
