I don’t have the be all, end all, answer to that, but I wouldn’t see any reason that you couldn’t. Just don’t use to much heat when applying the tint. If I’m wrong I will get flamed real quick.
Being out in the weather, you must use a good quality tint, and be careful what you use to clean it.Even then, I can’t see it lasting too long and good tit ain’t cheap..
If you've never done tint before, it might be worthwhile taking the shield to a local tint shop. They surely won't charge too much, and the burden is on them for warranty, if there is one.
Sure. Harley's shield has one on it. Mine pealed off when an idiot stuck a sticker on it. (It was however put on there different then a film but it was only on front side)
However, not sure why you would want to. You really should be looking over it. And tinting it just makes it stand out more.

I do look over it. The tint is just for looks...not sure if I will like it clear and just want to have a plan.
It will stand out. Not sure how the edge will hold up. My riding friend has a Police Special or something like that Fatboy. His shield has a blue band on the lower half. Kid you not on the interstate, 3 or 4 out of a dozen cars slow down when he approaches them.
In my experience tint does not stick to plastic...I have tinted plastic windows in my motorhome...and it looked perfect when done...and within a few months it had tons of bubbles...
