I have had mine for seven years and have no complaints at all. The company is great to work with and the product is high quality. As I have written before, I tried other jacks that were not as well made and was nervous about how wobbly they were. The J&S is very stable and I have confidence in it every time I use it. I don't know about anyone else, but I paid a lot for my bike and I do not need it falling off a lift.

I've had mine for a couple years it is a very well made lift of high grade steel not that cheap steel from china that can let go at any given time and drop you bike right in front of your eyes and also maybe hurt you. I never have any dout of it falling when taking off wheels are pulling other parts off the bike it's rock solid. You can buy with confidence.

J&S does offer a 5% discount if you "like" them on FB. I ordered mine last year and can honestly say it is worth the money. Extremely well built + American made to boot! Customer service, as stated is a-one also.

I have a cheapy from harbor freight and my brother and dad have the sears spendy one. they get a little wobbly if you get aggressive with it but never need to be strapped down like you are talking about! they all sit on these jacks all winter long as well. I'm sure the J&S is a great product but who in the hell climbs on their bike while it is in the air?????? Just can't justify the price, as long as you don't try something really stupid with the cheap jacks your bike isn't going anywhere

I have two of the Craftsman jacks that were around $100 each. They work fine for me and both of my bikes sit on the jacks all winter and I use the jacks for cleaning during the riding season.

I have never had a problem as long as the jack is centered under the bike. Just replaced the entire exhaust system on my '13 Ultra while it was on the jack with no problems.

I am sure the J&S is a great tool but just too expensive for my blood.

biggest thing for me and the Homier jack I had was the one hand on holding bike up while ona board to slide the jack under. was also a little wobbley. for the stress and trouble iI find the j and s worth it. now ibuse it to clean my bike among other things. this coming from a guy who used to use a 4 by 8 with a notched 2 by 4 bolted to it for the exhaust and a 4 foot pipe to work on bike before the mentioned jacks.
