Question Inner fairing question

So I have to replace my inner fairing on my '11 FLHTC. Found a good deal on an earlier (97-07) inner fairing that has the opening for the throttle cable. Any suggestions on what to do/how to plug the opening?

Thanks for any advice!

Don't have a recommendation for filling the hole. Just want to make you aware that the deflectors have a different bolt pattern.

When the previous owner put a color matched inner fairing on my 09 they put the earlier model on. I never even notice the hole unless I am working on it.

The plastic air deflectors that are bolted under the right and left side. On the older version (pre) 09 they have a 3 bolt pattern that they attach to. On the newer version 09 and up it is a 4 bolt pattern. If you are not planning on using the ones from your 09 you are OK. Or just install pre 09 air deflectors.....

Thanks Spiderpig,

I actually scored at the Webster West Side Motorcycle Swap meet (first Monday of the month). Got an inner fairing, engine guard, and inner fairing mirrors for $190! If I had purchased on eBay would've been $300+

Engine guard and fairing are on (mostly). Missing the spacer and nut for the left mirror and need to get a new spring clip retainer for the clutch pin.

Outer fairing cosmetically messed up but structurally good. Quick fix will be a bra to cover it for now.
