On a different note to this post. As you can see I have three bikes. All of different level of technology at the time. EVO motor still the best motor that Harley ever put out with unleaded fuel and EPA BS. The 96 CI motor is strong if not reliable. I have not had trouble with it and being a dresser it holds its own. IMO on the SGS model, the 2014 are some of the best overall riding bikes I have ridden. Larger front fork tubes and slight frame geometry differences have made the handling and ride more controlled. It is night and day between the Ultra and SGS. If I had a complaint on the 14's, aftermarket parts are lacking for a new model. Harley is slow with even their own parts. Right now I am good with my 2014 SGS.

I for one really like all the '14 changes. Even the fairing scoop. Not as much to offer on the Road King. But I don't see any negatives.

Perhaps the moderators can move this to "the new Rushmore section" of these forums.

I am not a fan of the '14 Street Glides and Ultras (mainly because if the new fairing), but I do like the new Road Kings. I just wish they didn't get rid of the speakers on the CVO model. I look forward to seeing a new Road Glide but I fear that it also will be hideous.

Typical Rushmore envy. I just doesn't quite look, feel, sound or taste right until they save enough coin to get one. Then they worm up to the 14's.
I say take one for a ride. They always look better from the riders seat anyway.
I like everything about mine. I do wish the infotainment system was not so buggy.

I've done a few demos in the past and really like all the upgrades they have made. The '14 release models is the reason why I finally pulled the trigger.

I wonder when the HD family took over after AMF, how many complained.

It is true a lotta folks do not like change.

IMO - I think HD did a VERY good job of modernizing the look of the bike, while still keeping true to its heritage of old school "looks". It's not like the 2014's look like a Victory Vision or Victory XC Tour. Not knocking those bikes mind you, but those are better examples of "too modern" a design for my taste.

The MOCO did another great job of keeping it's looks by not adding more plastic to surround the bike, and making some things on the bike look like it was there intentionally instead of an after thought. Made a lot of things more functional. I have always not been a fan of how the saddlebags opened, I welcome this new design big time!

But - we all have our tastes, but I feel HD did a nice improvement in a great direction without going to extreme.

And for those who like the old style bike - you will have PLENTY to choose from this spring to purchase based on what I am seeing and what I am selling.

So stop complaining about the 2014's and buy my 2009 HD FLHTCU and be happy!
