What are you guys using to add/check air pressure in the shocks on these bikes? Standard connecter, wondering about recommendation for a nice handheld pump.
Bob
After spending the money for the new bike, the cost of a hand pump for your suspension should not be an issue. I've never used the digital one, but the analog gauge pump works. No need to look else where.
Get the HD pump. It does not lose air when you disconnect it. It does fit in your saddlebag without taking up a lot of room. It has a bleed off button that makes adjustments very easy.
Buy the HD one - when its 20% off (if your local dealer doesn't offer that, look online). It's NOT worth buying a cheaper pump, those shocks are expensive to replace.
I never mentioned price, or what is the cheapest etc. Why do people make so many assumptions.
Looking for a good one. People have suggested the HD one, great!
On the othere hand, the HD one appears on close examination to be a re-branded one of these much less expensive with no sales tax and free shipping.
I got them to throw in the HD digital model when I got the latest bike and have been very satisfied with it. Compact, simple operation, no leak on connect/disconnect. Nothing to complain about. They even make a little protective pouch for either the dial or digital model at FlyingKcreations.com
WTF? A half dozen plus members recommend specifically the HD model. One guy even offers a suggestion to you on how to get it cheaper. You bust his chops that he's made an assumption regarding price in your post, then you add in the same frickin' post there's a cheaper look alike available some where else? Don't be such an a$$, support your local dealer & buy the HD pump.
The HD analog pump is a re-branded Progressive GP3-60. So unless you think the bar & Shield on the dial is worth $15 extra, get the progressive pump. It's $34.77 on Amazon with free shipping and no sales tax.
Edit: The picture on amazon isn't the GP3-60. It's a picture of the GP3-30. But the description is correct.
