maybe you should find a different sales person or dealer. don't have it but have looked at the pearl, white or whatever it is. never got it though I got the yellow and black, it really looks good in the sun....when its clean.
oh yeah, welcome to the forum.
Dealer/salesman may have been trying to "sell up" to get you to purchase a product that would cost you more $$ and put more in his pocket at the same time. The guidance he provided is NOT consistent with real world experience. If you like the Denim, then go for it. Perhaps from a different dealer if that's possible. Especially now that you know this particular individual is not trustworthy.
I would go back to the dealer, find the salesman and ask to meet with him and the manager. Point out his blatant lie or complete ignorance to this question and tell them one more time you BS me in the slightest way I will take my business elsewhere and then do it. Or tell them since you BSed me I do not trust you any longer and am buying elsewhere.
Had local Chevy dealer try to play me years ago, made my promise and followed through. I bought my brand new Chevy at another dealer. Drove my new truck to the liar salesmans dealership, pulled my truck to an area where new owners get pictures and crap and walked in to speak with general manager and show him my new truck that he missed out on. I have been treated very well by them ever since.
Hold the ignorant lying people accountable for their crap. It is fun too when you see the look on everyone's face.
