Harleys do not come with free service, your dealer may include it as a freebie but not all dealers do. Mine doesnt. As for adding syn oil at the dealer, dont waste your money on the syn3 crap harley sells its not even a true syn oil. Its a class 3 syn oil compared to ansoil and mobil1 for vtwins being class 1 syn oils.
First service was free, including syn motor oil. When I made appointment they asked "Do you want syn oil?". So I ask "How much?". They say "INCLUDED, give it a try!". Great dealership, have never had an issue in the 16 years I have done business with them.
mines was free oil extra. a word of advise.. skip the hd syn3 water and if going syn look at amsoil, mobil, redline and the others.
amsoil with filter is around 60+tax not bad for 5 or 6,000 mi. with oils still in good shape..
i do oil change, filter, oil cables, check nuts and bolts in a coup[le of hours. it's the test ride that somtimes can take a few days..
oh yeah 75.00/hr not bad around here it's upwards to 90.00/hr
go back to hd except for the big pm's and they nickle and dime you to death.........
Our super Wal-MArt sells Mobil 1 V-Twin Synthetic 20W-50 and Fram Chrome filters.8 bucks a quart for the oil and six bucks for the filter. Screw the dealership.
Dang! Does that include the gun? I'm a little old fashined when it comes to getting robbed I like to have a gun stuck in my face I do my own and usually takes about 2 hours.
