Default progressive monotubes

So I have searched on this and to no avail. So don't jump on me yet. So I installed my mono tubes along with powder coating the lowers. Installed everything lowered so 3 clips per instructions. Install everything back lower the bike. Hold the front brake and push and it's as stiff as a rod... Is that normal? Didn't get a chance to test ride it and not too sure I want to chance it.

I have the mono tubes as well. Definitely much stiffer and I do not nose dive when hitting the front brake. But, if as you say "stiff as a rod" and there is no give, I would say something is wrong.

Yea. Basically I can see what seems to be about or less than an inch of give. I expected stiff but I really rocked on it and that was about all I got

just did the same to my bike two weeks ago, felt very stiff first time I pushed down on the bars. rolled it in my garage and pulled brakes and it gives a little, much less than stock. took it for a ride, WOW! no nose dive and it feels smooth as silk. I say take it for short spin.

That makes me feel a little better. Too late last night to put the last touches on it to get it out and at work for 24 hours today so tomorrow it is.

I thought 1 clip for soft sub 200lb rider, 2 for up to say 250 and three clips only if both riders are seriously overweight and riding two up all the time?

Per the instructions... It's automatically 3 clips for the 1 inch lowering. Then as I've seen in other threads you can adjust as needed.

Alright.. So it's official. Completely psyched myself up over this whole thing. After about 100 miles riding on them I freaking love them. Yes stiff ride and you feel a little more but really even then it's not bad at all! I love these dang things!
