Live and learn. I just got my pipes today. One is all rusted. The other is not even welded at one of the steps. They are the HARDKROME T-REX pipes. You guys told me so. All I can say is they are going back. JUNK
How does someone buy a set of new pipes and have issues like this. Sorry but I just find this very difficult to beleive.
I like my T-rex's, and I have had no issues with them. I know DI75 did not have very good luck with his, and I hope that I don't ever have to call customer service on them too.

I read alot of this stuff on here and still bought a set. You can believe what you will. Those pipes are going back.
You know how the pipes step up in size? Well, at one of those steps, it isnt even welded.
The other has rust on the welds. Looks like it was welded buy some old salty on some dock somewhere.
They have the potential to be nice pipes. Yours might be nice. The ones I got were JUNK[:'(]
RE: DO NOT BUY ...........................................
Yeah, but the T- Rex's are clampless!!!!
Ya'll better hope that BountyHunty doesn't find this thread!!!
Seriously though this is the first that I have heard about quality issues with them. I have bought some hardkhrome pipes in the past and fit and finish was always top notch. I quess the Quality Control guy called in sick the day yours was made.[:@]
The Rhineharts are an excellent choice as others have stated. I have never heard one bad thing about them.
RE: DO NOT BUY ...........................................
I had the Hard Krome Xcelerator 2-1 pipes on my Lowrider. Fit and finish were by far the best I'd seen, easily on par with pipes like Vance & Hines. Maybe you just got a bad set unfortunately?
RE: DO NOT BUY ...........................................
Problem #1 T-Rex's have the chrome covers welded to the pipe.(Thus no clamps)
Problem #2 There is no transmission mount to support the pipes in the center.
Problem #3 If you have a crack in your pipe and call customer service at Hard Khrome they don't return calls or e-mails.I actually got a person one time, but that was it, and they never called back.
Solution to above problem, buy REINHARTS, install them and spread the word about T-Rex and Draggin baggers as Companies to AVOID at all costs!!! They SUCK!!!! [:@][:@][:@]
