Default Solo Seat

I have a 2006 Road King Classic. I currently use a HD solo seat (really sucks). That seat makes me feel like I'm balancing on a ball. I used to have a Mustang Vintage Solo on a previous ride. I liked that seat. I was talking with another rider a few days ago. He had a Saddlemen Gel seat and swore by it. I am also considering a Corbin. I had a corbin way back, it was as hard as a brick. I never broke it in, just got rid of it. Opinions?

I too have the Mustang solo, but if I could do it again I'd get the one camsmith has...with a backrest. I don't think I'd try 4k miles on mine.

Every butt is different. I love my Corbin but it is hard.
A depends on your riding position as well. I had a bill Mayer saddle on my Beemer but a different riding style. If I had forward controls I don't think my Corbin would be a s comfy. Seats are a bitch because it usually take buying one, trying it and then selling it if it does not work.
I know a lot of people that will not ride on anything other than a Russell (day long) saddle. Now that one is designed for comfort
YMMV

Corbin classic solo with backrest. 7000 mile trip last year(two weeks) and was no problem.
It is heated and came in handy with morning temps in the low to mid 30's in the morning in the mountains. Helps keep the lower extremities warm. Was early June and beat riding in the heat of two years ago in late July.
One more thing is that it locks on so no worry of someone using a screwdriver and walking off with it.

My Harley solo Brawler seat is a little hard but I've done 900 miles in 15 hours and 2,700 in a week on it no problem. Depends on the rider

I'm a Corbin guy and the Corbin classic solo with backrest is the best they got. Never had monkey butt on a Corbin.

Saddleman seats suck. i had 2 and the service is even worse, i will never buy anything made by them. I have carbin seats now and they are great i love the firm seat not for every one. but saddleman is for no one..
